SYS Vinyasa Open class

All levels welcome! A vinyasa based class with a strong emphasis on conscious breath and synchronized movement. The sequence changes monthly to emphasize awareness through repetition of surya namaskar, standing postures, forward bending, back bending, twists and inversions.

Generally the class will focus on one aspect with greater attention. The objective is to examine and overcome the obstacles students meet in the practice. This awakens the idea that they are no different from the ones encountered in life. The asana practice becomes a laboratory to test the patterns of behaviors that often manifest and then consciously choose to evolve them (or not:).

Contemporary music is interspersed throughout to support the theme of each class. Every class culminates with stillness…where the seed of inspiration is planted. This class is not recommended for complete beginners. Please note: The teacher will not demonstrate the class.
