Sundays 8:15am-8:40am
Wednesdays 3rd, 10, 17th, 24th Sep & 1st, 8th Oct 8:30pm-9:30pm
The mind training teachings, known in Tibetan as lojong, form a powerful system of meditative techniques used to change our perception and interpretation of reality. Although the ultimate goal of these teachings is to help us uncover our deepest potential for wisdom and kindness, they are also used to make our daily life more joyful and less painful.
Traditonally, lojong teachings are explored with the help of a pithy text, and in this course we will explore a number of such texts, including such popular titles as ‘Parting from the four attachments’ and ‘Mind training in eight verses’. We will also discuss a couple of the more recent compositions, seeing how to integrate their insights into our meditation and daily life.
This course would be of interest to beginners in meditation and experienced practitioners alike. Each class will include one or two meditations, an exploration of lojong material, and a chance to ask questions.
Zoom links will be sent 10 mins prior to the scheduled start time of each session.
£100 full 6 week course, £20 single session
